On January 8th, 2015 Little Orbit posted on Facebook that several of their downloadable titles were on sale and that the deal would end “soon”. In most cases this is the last time the company mentioned these games publicly, however the Little Orbit website was not updated to remove these games until September of 2017. The few delistings we have identified occurred between Spring and Summer 2017 which has become the approximate delisting range for the following titles until more evidence can be found:
Barbie: Dreamhouse Party*
Barbie: Groom and Glam Pups*
Monster High: 13 Wishes*
Monster High: Skultimate Roller Maze*
Penguins of Madagascar*
Disney Planes: Fire & Rescue*
Winx: Saving Alfea*
Disney Violetta: Rhythm & Music*
Peculiarly, several of these games have never had a product page on Nintendo.com making it even harder to identify exactly when they may have been delisted. These titles are noted with an asterisk (*).
The titles above come from different developers so they are unlikely to have been delisted solely because the studio may have closed. The delistings appear to be related to expired licenses from Disney, Mattel, Dreamworks, and Rainbow S.r.l.
Fortunately, all of the above games remain available on physical media, both for the platforms on which they were digitally released as well as the original Nintendo Wii and DS in most cases.
