Delisting

Marvel vs. Capcom Origins was delisted on PlayStation 3 on December 23rd, 2014 and on Xbox 360 on December 31st. The delisting was announced on the Capcom-Unity forums on December 18th, 2014 with no explanation, though Capcom’s license to Marvel properties was clearly the cause.

Nearly one year prior in December of 2013 Marvel vs. Capcom 2, Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds, and Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 were delisted. Shortly after that, on January 1st, 2014, many of Activision’s Spider-Man and X-Men titles were delisted. Similar expired licenses from Marvel were the cause for all of these delistings.
