Delisting
Tales of Symphonia Chronicles (including the individual releases of Tales of Symphonia and ToS: Dawn of the New World) has been delisted from the Australian and European PlayStation Store for PlayStation 3. The exact timing is currently unknown but Tales of Xillia 2’s delisting was first brought to light in late August of 2018. Tales of Symphonia Chronicles may also have been delisted around this time or earlier. By mid-March of 2024, Tales of Symphonia Chronicles was delisted in North America, and currently only the standalone releases are available.
No official announcement was made regarding any of the delistings, and other titles in the series remain available to download on other platforms. The Tales series is wholly owned by Namco leaving these specific delistings a bit of a mystery. It may have been related to licensed content in the game (music, art, or other performances) or simply the licensing from Sony to keep the game available on the PlayStation Store.
