Nintendo Video was retired on March 31st, 2014 (AU, EU, JP) and June 29th, 2015 (NA), having been in operation since shortly after the Nintendo 3DS release in 2011. Each territory sent out SpotPass notifications to users approximately one month ahead of the termination. Nintendo of America notified users on June 5th, 2015 that Nintendo Video content would no longer be distributed automatically and that most of the videos would be available in the 3DS eShop.

Nintendo Video content was transitioned to the Nintendo eShop to allow for many more videos to be available to viewers at any time, while still providing updates of new episodes. As a result, the dedicated Nintendo Video application was discontinued on June 29th, 2015.

If you wish to view Nintendo Video content, please visit the Nintendo eShop and either select the Nintendo Video listing from the Main Menu or search for your favorite shows.

Pikmin Short Movies on YouTube

Although not released through the Nintendo Video service, Pikmin Short Movies was another delisted video offering from Nintendo. Originally shown at the 2014 Tokyo International Film Festival, the three-episode bundle was sold on the eShop ($4.99 USD) for both Nintendo 3DS and Wii U beginning in November of 2014. Ahead of their removal, Nintendo updated their listings with a notice that the videos would be added to YouTube after October 8th, 2020. See below for more details and differences of each release.

Pikmin Short Movies HD
The eShop application features four extra behind the scenes clips that have not been officially uploaded to YouTube.
