Delisting
ModNation Racers was delisted from the PlayStation Store for PlayStation 3 no later than June 4th, 2018. This is the earliest date we found that mentioned the game being removed from sale in North America. Prior to the delisting, Sony Europe updated their Decommissioned Servers page in April and confirmed that online features for the game would be disabled on July 10th. Outcry from players apparently resulted in the date being extended to October 10th, 2018.
An update to the game’s PlayStation.com page initially read “Multi-player and all online features for this product will be terminated and will no longer be available on 07/10/2018. You will still be able to create content, but will not be able to share it with other MNR players”. However, the Decommissioned Servers page eventually read “Multiplayer and all online features for this product will be terminated, and this game will no longer be playable from 10th October 2018.”
ModNation Racers’ DLC content was also removed from sale. The game remains available on physical media and as of this writing GameStop.com still has download codes on sale for the game and DLC.
