Laser League: World Arena shuts down on Steam July 6th

The original version of Laser League was shut down on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One late last February with publisher CE-Asia taking over management of the remaining Steam release. They retooled it for a free-to-play relaunch in December of 2021 as Laser League: World Arena but now that version will be shutting down too. The announcement posted on April 4th confirms that as of July 6th the game will be shut down. In-game purchases were disabled alongside the announcement.

It is with regrettable that we must announce the impending shutdown of our game servers. Effective since [July 6, 2023], as a free to play game, Laser League: World Arena will no longer be available for log in and play.

We know that many of you have invested countless hours into this game, and we want to express our sincere appreciation for your support and dedication. We are proud of what we accomplished with this game, and we are grateful for the memories we’ve shared with you all.

Unfortunately, the decision to shut down the servers was not an easy one to make. As a team, we have explored every possible avenue to keep the game running, but ultimately, we have determined that we can no longer sustain the costs associated with maintaining the servers.

We understand that this news will come as a disappointment to many of you, and we apologize for any inconvenience or frustration this may cause. We hope that you will continue to support our team and our future endeavors, and we look forward to bringing you new and exciting experiences in the future.

Thank you for your understanding and your passion for Laser League.

Virtual currency recharge service has been closed today, please get all your in-game virtual items or currency consumed before servers shutdown.

Sincerely,
CE-Asia Publishing Team
