Guns Up! shutdown unexpectedly extended to December 15th

Sony’s San Diego studio announced late last October that the free-to-play strategy title Guns Up! would be shutting down on PlayStation 4 and Steam on April 14th. However, at some point the game’s PlayStation Store page and website were updated with a new date of December 15th, 2023. The rest of the brief announcement remains the same as it did last year:

Multiplayer and all online features for GUNS UP! will be terminated and no longer available starting 12/15/23. As you have to be online to play this title, this game will not be playable starting 12/15/23.

It’s unclear exactly when the update was made but it was first mentioned just today on the PSN Profiles forums and then submitted to the site by Serrated-banner9. Unfortunately, a similar update has yet to appear on the game’s Steam page but it’s probably safe to assume that the deadline has been extended there as well. It’s also unclear why the deadline was pushed to the end of the year. If you’re a fan still finishing off the game’s trophies (for 1 or more regions) or were curious about the game there’s still time to jump in.
