Delisting
Futuridium EP Deluxe was delisted from the Nintendo Wii U and Nintendo 3DS eShop in the Fall of 2016. According to reporting from NintendoEverything — by way of reader TruExtent who sent them the info — the game was removed from both platforms on November 9th, 2016 and was allegedly related to a “license expiring”, although none of this has been further substantiated.
Developer MixedBag made no public statement about the delistings in 2016. In fact, their Twitter account would not mention Futuridium at all until nearly a year later leading up to the physical release of the game on PlayStation 4 and Vita in August 2017.
MixedBag’s other releases remain available on Nintendo platforms (and many others) so it does not seem to be related to their standing as a publisher or developer. Reception of the Wii U and 3DS versions was average but there were no widespread technical issues with the game, ruling out its removal due to poor or unfixable performance issues. As of this writing, the game’s delisting is unclear.
