Grab Injustice: Gods Among Us for free on Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation

Want to secure a sure-to-be-delisted title for yourself, for free? Grab ‘Injustice: Gods Among Us – Ultimate Edition’ before June 25th on Steam, PlayStation 4, or Xbox 360. It’s one of WB Games’ goodwill offerings during the Covid-19 pandemic to #playathome and only available for free between June 19th and the 25th.

I can’t see them using the game to garner some goodwill and then immediately delisting it on the 26th, but as a licensed title overflowing with copyrighted content, you just know that one day this game is going to get pulled. Might as well grab all three versions for yourself while you’ve got the chance. Thanks to FallenRyan for pointing out the news!

Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition pulled from Steam, PlayStation versions next?

In an unannounced and unanticipated move, Warner Bros. Interactive has pulled Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition (aka Mortal Kombat 9) off of Steam. The removal happened on March 20th when the game’s price was set to $0.00 making it unable to be purchased. The only explanation is the familiar boilerplate wording on the game’s Steam store page: “At the request of the publisher, Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition is no longer available for sale on Steam”.

As of the evening of March 22nd the game remains available on PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 3 but it’s a little hard to find, at least on the North American PlayStation Store. The base game’s page only lets you wishlist the title but I was able to dig up the $20 “Komplete Edition” that was still available to buy.

Is it a sign that the PlayStation versions will be delisted soon as well? With no other details behind the delisting outside of some unsubstantiated links to the game’s Freddy Krueger DLC, it most certainly could be. We’ll try to keep an eye on it but if you’ve had this one on your PlayStation wishlist, now might be a good time to grab it. Thanks to @pasta_wheat for pointing this one out to us.
