Originally founded under the name of Amnesty Design in 1991, Digital Reality began work in 1994 on the Imperium Galactica series. Having secured private funding in the 2000s, they began publishing games across all console, PC and mobile platforms.

Digital Reality was shut down in September of 2013 and several properties were sold to Nordic Games. In February 2016 they announced they would continue to support and publish several of Digital Reality’s original properties.
