Aftercharge was removed from sale on Steam on May 29th, 2021 and on Xbox One shortly after. Chainsawesome Games then announced on June 1st that Aftercharge would be shutting down on June 30th, 2021. According to the team’s statement below, Aftercharge had been operating at a loss for “far too long” and the decision was made to “move on”.

It is with great sadness that we are announcing today that Aftercharge will no longer be playable on June 30th 2021.

As of today, it is no longer possible to purchase the game anywhere and all existing players have been rewarded with 16 000 Aftercoins. At the end of the month, we will shut down the servers and effectively erase Aftercharge from existence.

It is a very painful news to share. We spent 3 years developing and marketing Aftercharge and those years are full of great memories. We really loved that game and believed in its potential. For far too long, our monthly server costs have outweighed the revenues generated by the game. It is time to move on.

If you have purchased Aftercharge recently on Steam or the Xbox Store, we can only imagine your disappointment in reading this. We encourage you to look into the refund options of each platform. If your attempts are unfructuous, please send us an email at [email protected] and we will see how we can make it up.

Chainsawesome Games lives on and thanks to our most recent release, Knight Squad 2, the future’s looking bright. If you were a fan of us through Aftercharge, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We invite you to join our studio’s Discord and come talk to us and the rest of the fans.

Stay Awesome!

About the Game

Aftercharge is a 3 vs 3 competitive game pitting invisible robots against an invincible security squad in high-octane tactical skirmishes. Six glowing structures called extractor are at the center of the gameplay and serve as the objective for both teams. The robots have to coordinate their attacks, create distractions and sneak around to destroy them. The enforcers on the other hand have to cover as much ground as possible and use their abilities wisely to spot the attackers and stop them before they can destroy all of the extractors.

Unique blend of fresh mechanics
An invisible team fighting an invincible team, reviving allies instantly with no limit and zero cooldown on abilities are only a few mechanics that make Aftercharge a shooter you’ve never played before.

Online multiplayer and matchmaking, cross-play with Xbox One
Team up with players anywhere around the world and face-off against opponents of similar skill level. Share the player pool with our massive Xbox One userbase

Bite-size competitive matches
The teams are small, the maps are small, the rounds are short, the action is always within sight and it never stops.

Asymmetrical characters
Choose from a different character pool on each side with widely different abilities and roles to vary your team’s strategy.
