Relisting

Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments was relisted on PlayStation 4 in North America on January 9th, 2020, and on Xbox One in North America and Europe on January 15th, 2020. Frogwares is now listed as the publisher for both relisted versions. On Xbox One the title has also been appended as Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments Redux. Delisting

Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments was delisted from PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 between September 26th and 28th, 2019 and on Xbox 360 and Xbox One between September 29th and October 1st, 2019.

Developer Frogwares announced in a letter posted to Twitter on September 26th, 2019 (reprinted in full here) that several of their titles that were published by Focus Home Interactive had been delisted or were under threat of being delisted soon. According to Frogwares, Focus Home Interactive had enacted a new policy regarding all of its associated titles giving the publisher the right to remove any games not in their current “catalog” from digital storefronts without first transferring these titles back to the developer or IP holder.

On October 4th, 2019 Frogwares released a statement confirming that 9 out of the 10 affected “store listings” had been removed from sale. The number indicated ten separate releases (between consoles and PC) from publisher Focus Home Interactive including:

– Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments
– The Testament of Sherlock Holmes (previously delisted)
– Sherlock Holmes versus Jack The Ripper (previously delisted)
– Magrunner: Dark Pulse

Frogwares also announced at the time that they were able to acquire publishing rights to Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, keeping it on sale on Steam, and bringing it to GOG.com for the first time. The studio prepared a free memorial artbook to commemorate their long history with Sherlock Holmes and for fans to enjoy while they continued working to bring their games back to storefronts. Frogwares titles on GOG.com were also put on sale [Archive] through October 11th.
