Delisting

The Oregon Trail was likely delisted from the Nintendo DSi Shop no later than December of 2011. At the end of 2011 DoubleTapGames and Crave Entertainment released their own version of the game for the Nintendo Wii and 3DS indicating that Gameloft had lost their license to the property.

About the Game

Westward, Ho! Your favorite pioneering adventure game takes you to an exciting, historical side-scrolling adventure on your Nintendo DSi. All of the decision-making and problem-solving fun of the original game, plus additional parameters will take the Oregon Trail experience even further than you’ve played before. Leave your mark in America’s history! Take a picture of yourself at each landmark with the Nintendo DSi camera.

You’ll have your portrait & party’s name printed in the Daily Oregon Trail newspaper in the game. Play 8 skill-based mini-games that will impact on your resources: hunting, fishing, river crossing, rafting, wagon repairing, telegraph, berry picking, and gold panning. Random events (disease, bandits, hitchhikers, etc.) faced by real pioneers, plus side-missions, add more excitement to your journey, affecting your westward trek. Let’s head to Oregon!
