The Legend of Heroes: Akatsuki no Kiseki leaving consoles in Japan soon

The Legend of Heroes: Akatsuki no Kiseki will be removed on the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation platforms  in Japan later this year. The Japanese exclusive is a spin-off of Falcom’s long-running Trails of Cold Steel and Legend of Heroes franchises and originally launched as a Unity-based browser game in 2016. The free-to-play title later made the jump to PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, and finally to Nintendo Switch as Akatsuki no Kiseki Mobile, all exclusive to Japan.

Publisher UserJoy Japan announced the news on March 3rd outlining separate details for the Nintendo and PlayStation releases. While Switch players will have the opportunity to migrate their data to the mobile versions of the game (and consequently up to the current PC version), PlayStation owners will lose all of their progress after the game shuts down on June 15th. UserJoy will at least be providing some in-game currency and bonus items to PlayStation owners who link their new PC accounts.

The Android, iOS, and PC versions of the game will remain online for the foreseeable future as well. The team’s announcements, by way of Google Translate follow.
