Quantum Break temporarily delisted over expired licensing, expected to return in time

After its unexpected inclusion in a roundup of titles leaving Xbox Game Pass, Microsoft’s Quantum Break has now also been delisted on Xbox and Steam. Xbox Games & Marketing executive Aaron Greenberg confirmed on Twitter on Tuesday why the game quietly disappeared.

Don’t worry Quantum Break will be coming back to Game Pass. It is being temporarily removed due to some licenses that expired that were in the process of being renewed. Will let you know as soon as it is back.

Quantum Break developer Remedy Entertainment later tweeted out the same message. So far the game’s return has only been promised for the Game Pass catalog but there’s little reason to expect that it won’t also be back on sale in time. However, given that it isn’t leaving Game Pass for another two weeks it could be quite a bit longer before the license renewals are cleared and the game is back on sale.

Anyone looking to grab the existing release on digital can still find some Steam codes for sale on reseller sites and Amazon. The physical release on Xbox One from 2016 is also readily available. Thanks to Guilherme Bertolini for pointing out the news.
