Delisting

The team at The Balance announced on September 29th, 2022 that Override: Mech City Brawl would shut down and be removed from sale on all platforms “in the near future”. It appears to have been delisted the following day on September 30th on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. On Steam it was removed from sale by October 1st.

We have had so much fun in this game with all of you. From sharing development updates to watching the videos and images of your massive battles in the game, it has been a pleasure sharing the experience that Override 1 has given all of us. Unfortunately, however, all good things must come to an end, and Override: Mech City Brawl will be closing its servers. Because of this, some time in the near future, the game will no longer be visible on the Steam store listings.

Fret not fighters, because Override 2: Super Mech League will continue to be playable for the foreseeable future. If you want to continue the action with our gigantic mechs and community, please check out Override 2 on Steam – Thank you all once again for playing with us, and we hope to see you in the arena again very soon!

Steam Store Announcement – September 29, 2022

Although unconfirmed to be the sole cause for the delisting, Override may have used GameSparks online services as both the game and GameSparks went offline around the same day. The game remains available on physical media for Nintendo Switch (Japan only), PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, reportedly including all of its DLC which can still be played offline.

About the Game

No gears, no glory! Control gigantic robots and duke it out across fantastic cityscapes in this 3D mech-based brawler! Epic and explosive battles await with distinctive mechs in local and online versus mode, party co-op with two to four players, and a single-player campaign.

Pilot a diverse roster of epic, skyscraper-sized mechs, each with their own play style, special moves, and finishers. Tower over your opponents and lay waste to entire cities underfoot. Destroy 3D arenas modeled after actual cities and countries, including Tokyo, Egypt, San Francisco, and Mexico. Challenge other players, gathering two to four friends to engage in dynamic co-op where each player is responsible for one part of a towering mech!
