VisualArts/Key announced on November 22nd that the original release of planetarian ~the reverie of a little planet~ will be removed from Steam on December 1st. An HD update of the game was released on Steam in 2017 but it lacked the English translation of the original version until this past September. Now supporting more languages than the original release, it appears VisualArts/Key has decided to remove the older game to avoid confusion between the two products which both have the same $9.99 price tag.

Steam Announcement – November 22, 2022
Both versions of the game, along with VisualArts/Key’s other visual novel titles, are on sale as part of the Steam Autumn Sale until November 29th. Thanks to everyone who pointed out the news, I’ve added the date to the Watch List calendar and we’ll have a page up on the site later.
