Guerrilla Games tweeted earlier today to announce that online services for a trio of their older PlayStation 4 and Vita titles will be shut down as of August 12th, 2022. The games include Killzone: Mercenary, Killzone Shadow Fall, and RIGS: Mechanized Combat League. The studios’ tweet and accompanying announcement from the games’ PlayStation Store pages follow:
On 12 August 2022, online servers for Killzone: Mercenary, Killzone Shadow Fall (including Intercept Mode) and RIGS: Mechanized Combat League will shut down. Online features (including online multiplayer modes) will cease on that date. Single player offline modes remain available

It’s also interesting to note that none of Sony’s online services pages were updated with this or recent shutdown announcements. It seems these pages are no longer going to be used to communicate individual game delistings or service changes. I’ve added the August 12th date to the Watch List calendar.
