Nightmares from the Deep series leaves GOG Jan 30th, already delisted elsewhere

Nightmares from the Deep, Artifex Mundi’s hidden object trilogy dating back to 2012, began disappearing from Steam and consoles late last year. We contacted the publisher alongside others at the time but they didn’t respond until recently. On January 11th they replied on Twitter stating simply that “we’re removing the NFTD series from sales due to licensing agreements”. Early this morning, GOG.com announced that the three titles in the series would be removed from their store on January 30th at 11pm UTC.

As of this writing the titles remain available on PC through GOG.com with Steam keys still available from reseller sites. On consoles the only entry to reach the Switch has already been delisted in North America while Nightmares from the Deep 2: The Siren’s Call is only hanging on for Xbox One. That one is also still available on the streaming PlayStation Now service but is expected to be removed there as well.

Below are links to Artifex Mundi’s homepage for each title as well as their GOG.com pages and the console pages for Siren’s Song. Like the publisher said in another twitter reply, “grab them when you can”. Thanks to Zup and vleeth for pointing out the delistings and announcement. I’ve added the GOG.com date to the Watch List calendar and will have pages up on the site later.
