Fantasy Earth Zero shuts down in Japan on September 28

Square Enix announced on June 13th that Fantasy Earth Zero, the long-running Japan exclusive “action-oriented online war game”, will shut down on September 28th. The franchise has been through a few iterations since launching in 2006, including a brief appearance in North America between 2010 and 2011, but the free-to-play Fantasy Earth Zero has remained the most popular entry until now.

Thank you for always using “Fantasy Earth Zero”. This time, “Fantasy Earth Zero” will end service at 15:00 on September 28, 2022 (Wednesday) . We would like to express our sincere gratitude to our customers who have supported us so far, and the management team sincerely apologizes for the sudden announcement.

* The official internet cafe benefits will also end when the service ends. About the expiration date of “Orb” Regardless of the date of purchase, the orb remaining at the end of the service of “Fantasy Earth Zero” (September 28, 2022 [Wednesday] 15:00) will expire at the same time as the service ends.

* Please note that “Orbs” purchased after March 28, 2022 (Monday) will have an expiration date of less than 6 months. 

* Please use the purchased “Orb” before the end of the service.

As a free-to-play title the game remains available to jump into today and in-game currency purchases won’t be disabled until August 24th. One thing that will outlast the game’s closure is a series of upcoming T-Shirts that will go on sale in Japan soon.
