Delisting
Nyu Media announced on June 15th, 2022 that they were winding down their publishing operations through the end of that year. Fortunately, publishing rights were transferred to the developers of many titles that Nyu Media handled but a few would end up being delisted. The eXceed trilogy (eXceed – Gun Bullet Children, eXceed 2nd – Vampire REX, eXceed 3rd – Jade Penetrate Black Package) – were three others later delisted.
Both Cherry Tree High Comedy Club and Cherry Tree High I! My! Girls! were delisted on Steam on July 11th, 2022. The games were also available from the PLAYISM Store but that platform shut down earlier in March of 2021. Downloads of the English language release were previously available through Nyu Media from Gamersgate, GameStop, Desura, and The Capcom Store but were removed from sale on these platforms at varying dates. At one time both games were available directly from developer 773 as well but they also ceased offering them at some point. As of April 2023 both titles remain available in Japanese from a handful of digital PC stores including DLsite.
Guys, we had a GREAT run.
When we started this company in 2011, our primary goals were to support some truly talented Japanese indie developers, to introduce Japanese indie games to overseas gamers, and contribute to the growth of the Japanese indie gaming scene. 11 years later, it’s fair to say that, while we made mistakes and fell short at times, we achieved what we set out to do and we can call this a ‘WIN’.
The video games industry has changed a lot since we started out, and the tools, resources, and perspective available to Japanese indie devs have broadened and improved to the point where there isn’t much need for a company like ours… and that’s GREAT!! We hope to see more Japanese indie games making it overseas under their own steam (no crappy pun intended)!
So the time has come for us to close the curtain on Nyu Media, but PLEASE NOTE that all games and related DLC in our catalog will remain for sale on Steam, with the exception of the Cherry Tree High games, which will be delisted from all platforms after the final day of this year’s Steam Summer Sale.
For clarity, here is list of our current titles and what will happen to them from July 1st:

Although the games have since become harder to find in English with fewer and fewer keys available from resellers, we described the news about Nyu Media in 2022 as “about as positive an outcome as anyone could hope for: most of their titles will remain on sale while the industry at large has reached a place where even solo developers can create and manage their releases for a global audience directly”.
About the Game
STARTING A CLUB IS ONE THING… RUNNING A CLUB IS A WHOLE OTHER STORY!
Cherry Tree High I! My! Girls! is the sequel to the popular slice-of-life adventure game Cherry Tree High Comedy Club by developer 773, and picks up the story where Cherry Tree High Comedy Club left off, but this time as a kinetic (single story branch) visual novel and adds new areas, new music, and three new characters to the roster!
Now that Mairu and friends have successfully re-opened the club, they actually need to act like a club! Mairu’s nemesis Chitose hasn’t given up on closing them down just yet, so they’ll need to be careful! But Chitose isn’t the only problem that Mairu and friends have to face… A rival club is competing for the spot of number one entertainment club, and a new transfer student will forever affect the Comedy Club line-up!
*PLEASE NOTE* CTHIMG is definitely NOT the end of the Cherry Tree High story, and does leave a couple of major plot elements open for resolution in the next installment.
