Aeronautica Imperialis: Flight Command leaves Steam “shortly” [UPDATE: It’s Gone]

[UPDATE 02/10/23] The game was delisted on the afternoon of February 9th, shortly after our original post went up.

Binary Planets and Green Man Publishing announced yesterday that Aeronautica Imperialis: Flight Command, based on the Warhammer 40K tabletop games, will be removed from sale on Steam… shortly.

It’s been a long flight for Aeronautica Imperialis and we’re so proud of the journey this game has taken. All journeys, however, must end. This is why we’re announcing that after three years it’s time to say goodbye to Aeronautica Imperialis: Flight Command and will be removing it from sale.

For those of you who already own Aeronautica Imperialis: Flight Command you will still be able to download and play, this will not affect current ownership of the game.

Thank you to everyone who has played, reviewed, commented, discussed, and loved Aeronautica Imperialis: Flight Command. We’ll see you in the skies, commanders.

Steam Announcement – February 08, 2023

Unfortunately the announcement doesn’t put a finer date on the delisting but the game originally launched on May 28th, 2020 so there may be a couple months left to grab it. However, it is not currently on a discount sale so it could also disappear at any time. Like most titles based on Games Workshop properties, this one is likely being delisted at the end of a licensing agreement with the games maker.

Thanks to Serrated-banner9 for submitting the news. I’ve added a temporary date for mid-February to the Watch List calendar and we’ll have a page up on the site later.
