Heads up, another short notice from the GOG.com team popped up on Tuesday regarding the remaining Cinemaware titles on the platform. The four titles will all be removed from sale on Friday, January 19th at 11am EST (4pm UTC).
We’d like to inform you that due to publisher’s request, Defender of the Crown, Rocket Ranger (Emulated Amiga Edition). Wings (Emulated Amiga Edition), and Wings! Remastered Edition will be delisted from our catalog on Friday, January 19th, 4 PM UTC.
For everyone who purchased these titles prior to the delisting, they will remain in their GOG library. We will also be actively working on bringing these titles back to our catalog under the new Publisher.
GOG.com announcement – January 17, 2024
Unfortunately, Wings! Remastered Edition and the Cinemaware Anthology — a bundle of 13 Cinemaware titles including Defender of the Crown and Rocket Ranger — were just delisted on Steam last month in late December. Could publisher Starbreeze, who purchased the IP rights to all of these titles back in 2016, be working on a new collection? Or did they maybe sell them off amid restructuring? Regardless of the cause this may be one of your last chances to own the titles.
