Delisting
Behaviour Interactive announced on June 10th, 2021 that Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade would be shutting down on September 10th. The brief statement, posted at the same time that the title was removed from Steam, offered no explanation but the causes are easy to predict. The game had under 200 weekly concurrent players since the end of 2019. If the low figures weren’t to blame, then an expired license of the Warhammer property is the next best guess. The team’s announcement follows:
Hello Crusaders,
Today we are announcing the sunsetting of the game. The servers will be closing on the 10th September 2021. Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade will no longer be playable at this point.
We are proud of all of the work that went into Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade, and for the amazing community that rallied behind the game. Thank you for everything, we appreciate all of your support through the years.
