Update on Adult Swim titles: 4 upcoming delistings, more at risk but more games saved [UPDATE: More Games Saved!]

[UPDATE 09/18/24] Just a quick check on the list. A few things have moved to the Safe List. Unfortunately it looks like Westerado has been delisted on Xbox but is safe onSteam

[UPDATE 07/14/24] A few things have shuffled from the at-risk list to the safe list! Thankfully the list keeps getting smaller but there are still several games due to disappear on Monday the 15th. Our original post (with the updated list) from July 3rd continues below.

[UPDATE 07/05]: Developer Bitmap Bureau went to Twitter yesterday evening to announce that they would be “willing to keep Super House Of Dead Ninjas alive” and attempt to regain publishing rights for the game. Bitmap Bureau is the current going name of Megadev, who had reorganized into Bitmap Bureau in 2016.

Things have been quiet on the Adult Swim Games situation since we last had a major update back in May. At that time some developers were announcing that they were working with the soon-to-be-folded publisher to regain ownership of their titles. Now months later, Adult Swim has updated four Steam store pages to announce that the games will be delisted on July 15th:

Adult Swim is no longer able to continue as publisher for this game and the developer is not interested in taking over as publisher at this time. As a result, [Super House of Dead Ninjas, Mega Coin Squad, Traverser, and Zenzizenzic] will be shut down on July 15th, 2024

Steam Announcements – July 02, 2024

On the upside a few developers have confirmed that they’ve regained control of their titles and have made it onto the safe list below. But there are still plenty of games that are up in the air and seem more and more likely to also be delisted on July 15th. Take a look at the updated lists below:

Confirmed to be delisted on July 15th

    Safe with a new Publisher

Thanks to everyone who pointed out the news on this one. We’ve added the July 15th date to the Watch List calendar for the confirmed titles and will have pages up on the site later.
