Delisting
The Last Remnant was delisted on Steam on September 4th, 2018. Square Enix announced the delisting on August 24th on the game’s Steam and Square Enix store pages. The announcement follows:
We will soon be discontinuing digital and physical sales of The Last Remnant on PC.
Sales will cease at the times below:-
Japan region: Wednesday 5th September, approximately 2:00 (JST)
NA region: Tuesday 4th September, approximately 10:00(PDT)
EU region: Tuesday 4th September, approximately 17:00(GMT)Anyone already owning the game will still be able to play as per usual.

No explanation was given but on September 11th, 2018 Square Enix announced that a remastered edition of the game would be coming exclusively to PlayStation 4 on December 6th for $19.99. Dubious as the practice is, it seems most likely that Square Enix delisted the Steam version to make sure that PlayStation 4 was the only place to buy the game digitally. The remastered game has since been released on Nintendo Switch and mobile platforms but has yet to return to Steam.
The Last Remnant remains available on physical media for Xbox 360 and PC although some state that the PC version is vastly improved over the Xbox 360 original.
