PS4 version of Star Wars: Bounty Hunter poised for a delisting ahead of updated re-release

Just a quick potential delisting to mention this morning. Aspyr Media is publishing an enhanced release of Star Wars: Bounty Hunter on Steam, Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms on August 1st for $20. This means that we’re likely to see Disney Interactive’s own 2015 release of the game — a $10 PlayStation 4 exclusive — removed from sale soon. To be clear though, there is no official confirmation of this from either Disney or Aspyr at this time.

Despite the bells and whistles like DualSense controller features, updated lighting and textures, and even an unlockable Boba Fett skin, the update doesn’t look all that different from the 2016 version that’s half the asking price. But if the price difference alone isn’t enough to see it delisted then there’s always the change-in-publisher angle that could result in the older and cheaper version being pulled down soon.

Whether you’re in it for a second stack of Trophies, the lower price, or just something a little closer to how the game appeared in its original form, you might want to grab that PlayStation 4 version soon.
