Pokemon Unite Announcement – September 19, 2024
GamesIndustry.biz points out Belgium’s 2023 action against loot boxes as the motivation behind the decision. So far, that ban has been largely self-enforced by publishers offering loot boxes and gambling-adjacent features in their games. But with the likes of The Pokémon Company falling in line, it might hint that more strict action is working its way through the region’s legal systems.
Pokémon UNITE currently remains available on Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android in all other regions. We’ve added the dates to the Watch List calendar and will have a page up on the site later.
