Older Battlefield titles (and their DLC) to be delisted July 31st ahead of service sunsetting in November

We had already heard earlier this month that three older Battlefield titles would be losing their online services this November on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. But earlier today the Battlefield social account confirmed that the games and their DLC will be delisted as well in just over a month on July 31st.

On Wednesday, July 31st the following #Battlefield titles will be removed from digital storefronts and you will no longer be able to purchase them and all extra related content such as DLC.

  • Battlefield 3 (Xbox 360 & PlayStation 3)
  • Battlefield 4 (Xbox 360 & PlayStation 3)
  • Battlefield: Hardline (Xbox 360 & PlayStation 3)

Online services for these titles on these platforms will end on November 7th, 2024. While the online components of these titles close for these platforms, if you own the game, you will still be able to play the single-player component.

Please note: Battlefield 3 will still be available for play on PC. Battlefield 4, and Battlefield: Hardline will still be available for play on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. The announcement today does not affect these titles and platforms.

If you’d like to learn more about the sunsetting process you can refer to the FAQ here, or check out our delisting page here. If you have any questions about these titles on older platforms head on over to EA Help. Thank you for your understanding!

Only Battlefield 3 saw a digital release on Xbox 360 and as a backward compatible title on Xbox One. Meanwhile, all three games remain available to buy on PlayStation 3 in North America and Europe by our checks today. DLC is available for all three games on both platforms and here are the links for the Xbox pages if you’re now suddenly in the market for any before they’re gone:

Thanks to HandMaskTar for pointing out the news today. We’ve added the new date to the Watch List calendar and will have pages up on the site later.
