Delisting
Need for Speed ProStreet was delisted on PC on Origin.com no later than January of 2016. This is the oldest confirmation that we have found that the game was removed from sale, although it may have been delisted earlier. The game’s online features were previously retired in April of 2012 alongside a handful of other EA titles. The Xbox 360 versions of the game were most likely delisted between May and June of 2021, possibly around May 31st when Electronic Arts delisted five other titles in the franchise. Like the PC version, online features for the console releases of the game were previously retired in April of 2012.
The cause for the delisting on Origin is uncertain but may be related to performance issues on newer hardware and the game’s handling of the ever-changing EA/Origin account systems. Reports on EA’s support forums since its release indicate that the game is difficult, if not impossible, to get running without some kind of crack or workaround.
