Delisting
NBA Jam: On Fire Edition was likely delisted on PlayStation 3 in North America between May 2017 and the end of 2019. The game was last featured in a PlayStation Store sale in April of 2017 and Delisted Games independently confirmed that it was no longer available in 2019.
NBA Jam: On Fire Edition remained available on Xbox 360 until it was delisted between the end of August and mid-November of 2020. August 21st, 2020 is the last Archive.org capture that shows the game was available and featured in a ‘Deals With Gold’ sale at the time. By the next capture on November 11th the game had been removed. Peculiarly, the Xbox One backward compatible version of the Xbox 360 release remained available until no later than May 16th, 2022 when its absence was pointed out to the site.
Electronic Arts then discontinued online services for this and other games on January 19th, 2023. The remaining PlayStation 3 versions of the game available in Australia and Europe were likely delisted around this time.
The reason for the delistings is unclear, especially the expanse of time and specific regions between the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Xbox One Backward Compatible versions. There could be some disparity in NBA licensing across the platforms and territories with a renewed license in 2015 for the Xbox One title explaining its continued availability.
