Delisting
LittleBigPlanet 3 was announced for delisting on October 08, 2024 via the Sackboy Twitter account that confirmed the game on both PS3 and PS4 would be removed from sale on October 31, 2024.
This also coincides with the removal of every single piece of Downloadable Content that has been released throughout the franchise’s lifespan across 6 games on PS3, PSP, PS Vita and PS4. We have also made a small collection of data on the content that was still available to download from the delisting announcement to the actual removal to also show the hundreds of items from the last 16 years that will have been lost. [Editor’s note – DLC Page is unfinished and will be updated when made live]

An important update on LittleBigPlanet 3 (PS4) and LittleBigPlanet DLC on the PlayStation Store:
Sackboy/LittleBigPlanet Twitter news announcement – October 08th, 2024.
…
After 10 years of playing, creating and sharing content in LittleBigPlanet 3, the game and our entire range of LittleBigPlanet DLC will be removed from the PlayStation Store on October 31st 2024.
While the game has already had a removal of a large chunk of content, LBP 3 like the other mainline releases is still available through discs on both PS3 and 4 to Play and Create with – despite chopping out an entire third from the franchise’s motto – Play. Create. Share.
As usual, no definitive reason for all the removals has been elaborated on, but it must be noted that every LBP title has a multitude of music tracks licenced from various 3rd party publishing labels, it might simply be that the remaining time contracted out for these pieces has ran out, meaning that a cost to profit assessment would determine (from Sony’s perspective) paying to continue the licensing or removing all of the offending tunes via a patch would not be worth performing.
Plus in combination with the taking down of all online services for the game due to alleged attacks from 3rd parties will only add to the justification to not spend extra money/development time manually fixing the multiple issues before a re-issue.
There however does remain vectors for still playing online content from the LBP franchise thanks to the work by community members to restore the online aspects through custom servers, saved online content and game patches in projects such as Beacon – by LBP Union or the LittleBigArchive – so that the Share aspect so intrinsic to LBP as a whole can still be experienced if any one desires to re-experience a major draw of the games.
