In the wake of an “internal reorganization” that the publisher announced on October 1st Hi-Rez Studios has now confirmed that both Divine Knockout (DKO) and Realm Royale Reforged will be shut down and removed from storefronts on February 17th, 2025.

It’s with a heavy heart from all of us at Evil Mojo Games that we have to inform you that as part of Hi-Rez’s recent re-org, Realm Royale will be sunset and the servers shut down on February 17, 2025 12:00 PM EDT. Following this date, the game will be removed from digital storefronts and you will no longer be able to purchase it and any related content such as DLC.
Thank You! We can not thank you enough for your support and passion over the last six years! From your first drops into the battlefield to every epic in Forge across the Realm, your dedication has made this journey unforgettable.
A couple of months ago we reduced the cost of all items to 1 Crown and provided a daily login reward of 100 Crowns making Realm Royale effectively free for everyone. You can continue to enjoy these until the server’s sunset.

In the same October 1st announcement, Hi-Rez CEO Stewart Chisam added that “we have decided to concentrate our efforts entirely on SMITE 2,” raising concerns over the long-term viability of Hi-Rez’s remaining titles including Rogue Company, Paladins, and SMITE 1. While small teams have been confirmed to bring “light updates” to Paladins and SMITE 1, all three of the remaining titles could easily seem this same kind of shut down announcement sooner rather than later.
Until the deadline date of February 17th you can still jump into both games on multiple platforms. Realm Royale Reforged is available on PC from the Epic Games Store and Steam, and on consoles for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms. Divine Knockout is also available on PC from the Epic Games Store and Steam, and on consoles for PlayStation [PS4 (EU, NA), PS5 (EU)] and XBox platforms.
