G.I. Joe: Operation Blackout to be delisted Dec. 31st, currently on discount sale

GameMill posted one of the shortest delisting announcements I’ve ever seen this morning on the Steam page for G.I. Joe: Operation Blackout. It reads, “This game and any related DLCs and bundles will be removed from sale on December 31, 2024”.

Although unconfirmed, the upcoming delisting is most likely due to expired licensing from Hasbro who owns the G.I. Joe property. In the past we’ve seen older licensed titles delisted ahead of newer releases but the current newest G.I. Joe game — Wrath of Cobra — has been out since September, seemingly with no issues. Perhaps Hasbro simply forgot to make the call or the licensing to GameMill was already set to expire at the end of the year anyways.

Whatever the cause, the game is on sale on most platforms for around $10 which includes the DLC. It’s worth noting that the game lists multiplayer, co-op, and PvP features but all of these are exclusively for local play. There are no online-only Achievements and no servers to worry about going down in the future. Here’s where to grab it:
