Forge and Fight to be delisted Sept. 30th, shutting down “end of October”

Flamebait Games announced on Friday that Forge and Fight, their unique weapon-builder and brawler from 2020, will be removed from sale on Steam on September 30th before being shut down entirely at the end of October.

A brief but important announcement. Due to very low player counts, Forge and Fight is costing us more to maintain than the revenue that sales are bringing in. This is also leading to a really bad play experience in terms of online matchmaking. Therefore we have made the decision to shut down Forge and Fight and remove it from sale from the Steam store. We will keep the game open for another month to give you a chance to experience the game for a final time if you wish to do so. The game will be removed from the Steam store on September 30th and the servers will be shut down at the end of October, making the game unplayable.

Steam Announcement – August 30, 2024

As a small title from an equally small team it’s no surprise to find that Forge and Fight has suffered over the last four years from a lack of active players leading to the team’s decision to shut the game down. The game remains on sale on Steam for $4.99 until September 30th but don’t hold your breath for a final sale.
