I really wanted to get the news out on this one sooner but here we are. Tonight after 11:59pm PST all of EA’s PC titles on the ZOOM platform are set to be delisted. According to the ZOOM team the publisher told them that “a strategic decision was made to focus on fewer channels”.
It is ZOOM’s regret to inform you that it could not work things out with Electronic Arts. Despite ZOOM’s exclusive release of Codemasters’ Mega-Lo-Mania as well as its exclusive improvements to Race Driver: GRID. The aforementioned upgrades including the implementation of the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 DLC packages.
ZOOM was told: “a strategic decision was made to focus on fewer channels”. As mentioned previously, this was not a standard ZOOM contract, so little can be done.
While it is a shame, ZOOM would prefer to celebrate it’s work as opposed to mourn it. ZOOM would like to thank former Codemasters President, Rod Cousens, for believing in its abilities and providing the opportunity. ZOOM would also like to thank Electronic Arts legend, Bing Gordon. His support was immensely appreciated.
So with that, we bid adieu to Electronic Arts. All games will be de-listed at Midnight PST on March 31st 2023.
Thank you for your business and continued support.
