DOGFIGHTER -WW2- shutting down on PlayStation on July 18th, Steam version uncertain

The PlayStation Store page for the free-to-play, multiplayer flight shooter, DOGFIGHTER -WW2-, has recently been updated to announce the upcoming shutdown of the title, at least on PlayStation. Our own HandMaskTar spotted the update to the game’s description box earlier today:

NOTE: Please note the game will not be available to play starting July 18, 2024 unless you have the Scenario Mode DLC. All online features will be taken down and you won’t be able to download the product after July 18, 2024.

The game’s microtransaction currency items remain available at this point but their descriptions have also been updated, revealing that they’ll be removed from the store on May 18th. If you were eager to spend $37.99 for a single skin, better hurry. Meanwhile, DOGFIGHTER -WW2- is still available on Steam with no news posted from the team at IGGYMOB since its release in July of 2019. It’s unclear if the game will also be shutting down there on July 18th but it’s probably a safe bet that it will be.

For now we’ve added the date to the Watch List calendar and will have a page up on the site later.
