Cyber Storm shutting down on Steam some time soon [UPDATE]

[UPDATE 09/01/24] Developer Lamondille updated the game’s Steam Store page on August 28th to announce that they have “reached the necessary amount to fund the servers for another year”. You can read their full announcement over on Steam. Our original post from August 26th continues below

Solo developer Lamondille announced over the weekend that their 4 vs 4 multiplayer shooter, Cyber Storm, will be shutting down. Unfortunately they didn’t provide an exact date but given the cost of the game’s infrastructure and the lack of paying players, the game will likely not be online for much longer.

It is with regret that I announce the shutdown of the Cyberstorm servers. I don’t have the means to maintain such a large infrastructure. The Cyberstorm authentication servers cost me a lot of money and haven’t generated enough revenue to sustain this project. However, I assure you that there will be an update that will drastically change the project. I can’t give you a date, but being on my own, I plan to resume development in at least a year and a half. Thank you for your support. I hope to see you again.
