Mobile game classic Cut the Rope will be removed from sale on Steam starting February 6th, 18:00 UTC+0 (1pm EST), but don’t worry because it’s being done… to commemorate the game? Developer ZeptoLab has something in store for the game’s 10-year anniversary on Steam and are promising more details soon. Cut the Rope – Remastered has been an Apple Arcade exclusive since its release in 2021 and this could mean that the update will now be coming to more platforms.
As we prepare to celebrate Cut the Rope’s 10th anniversary on Steam, we want to let you know that the rope cutters on PC are an important and valued part of our player community. We aim to provide you with the best experience possible.
That is why we are working on something exciting (and pausing the option to purchase the current game version from February 6, 18:00 UTC+0)! There is much to be done: sample the candy, sharpen the spikes, and test the ropes… We hope you are as thrilled about the upcoming surprise as we are!

Steam Announcement – January 30, 2023
Given the Steam version’s March 22nd release date back in 2013, we shouldn’t have to wait too much longer to see what ZeptoLab has in store. Until its removal next week Cut the Rope is 70% off on Steam bringing it down to $1.49 for anyone who wants to grab the original version before it’s gone. Thanks to Serrated-banner9 for submitting the game to the site, I’ve added the date to the Watch List calendar.
