[UPDATE: 08/26/21] True to their quote below, Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance has returned to the PlayStation Store. No further explanation but I’m glad to see it returned so quickly. Original post from August 19th follows:
A few folks pointed out earlier this week that Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance had disappeared on PlayStation 4. The fan-favorite Action RPG was just released by Interplay in May, and with the Xbox One and Nintendo Switch versions readily available, the delisting seemed to be a technical hiccup. I reached out to Interplay PR and heard back surprisingly promptly this morning from a representative.
Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance was temporarily removed from the Sony digital store due to some internal engineering changes being made by Sony. It should be restored very soon!

As I hoped, it shouldn’t be too long before the game returns to the PlayStation Store. Of course, if it had to be resubmitted for review the game could be stuck in the queue for months. However, hearing that it’s an “internal engineering change” makes me think it’s more of a Sony issue than an Interplay one, meaning the game could pop back online any time now. Thanks to everyone who pointed this one out!
