Developer Woolf had announced back in March that Atom Fishing II, their post-apocalyptic, MMO survival fishing game, would be shutting down on April 30th. But after the game didn’t disappear Woolf posted an update on May 2nd announcing that they were now aiming to shut the unique title down on August 1st. Until then anyone can jump into the free-to-play title although all in-game purchases have since been disabled.
Hello, friends. I regret to inform you about the decision to close the project. Unfortunately, the current situation does not allow us to support the game anymore, which has been running at a loss for a long time. The game servers will be closed on April 30.
Update: The deadline for closing the project is postponed to August 1st. Until this date, the game servers will work.

Thanks to Serrated-banner9 for reminding me about the news on this one. I’ve updated the entry on the Watch List calendar and we’ll have a page up on the site later.
