It’s not a big secret that the Xbox 360 Marketplace hasn’t been well supported for probably close to a decade now. Even with that in mind Randomised Gaming’s latest look at the storefront and its purchasing perils is still quite revealing. Riven outlines over a dozen points of conflict where games, content, and even your past purchases have become extremely difficult if not impossible to re-acquire. They even shed some light on the current shambling state of PlayStation and Nintendo storefronts for good measure.
Even if you aren’t on the hunt for the Xbox 360’s finest digital content the video is a great example of how digital storefronts can still be considered operational while being painfully time-consuming, if not completely useless in practice. Have a watch and then get on the ball if you are one of those folks trying to snatch up the platform’s rare or exclusive content before July 29th.
