The long-running 3D social game sMeet will be shutting down on January 5th after fifteen years running. The developers originally announced their plans to shut the game down back at the beginning of November but followed up on December 1st with a more concrete timeline. Both announcements follow:
We hereby inform you that the lifetime of sMeet will come to an end.
The sMeet team is really sad about this moment and wants to thank you, the players, which have been with us for so many years, for all your support, time, and the relationship we had. We know this is an unpleasant moment for all of us and you.
The first step we take is to remove the option to buy Coins.
The game will be playable online until further notice.
We will inform you about the next steps in the upcoming weeks.
