Quietly announced last November 29th on Twitter and the PlayStation Store, Dragonest and Chengdu Longyuan Network Technology confirmed that Auto Chess for PlayStation 4 and 5 will be shutting down on June 1st of this year. Like LotsaNintendo pointed out in their submission to the site, it seems almost everyone missed this news last winter.
Unfortunately, the first milestone of their announcement is coming up in just two days on March 1st when you’ll be unable to download the game or tie it to a Dragonest account and take your progress to the mobile versions. If you made any purchases or progress in the PlayStation versions then right now is the time to make sure your accounts are linked. The full announcement has a few more details:
Thank you for playing Auto Chess PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions. There’s a regretted information that we have to inform you that we will remove Auto Chess from both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 Stores. That means we will not update Auto Chess on PlayStation in the future patches after the termination. The planned termination date of PlayStation versions is June 1, 2023.
- [November 29, 2022] The recharge function will be terminated, and all DLCs will be removed from PlayStation Store.
- [March 1, 2023] Cross-platform features will be terminated on Auto Chess PlayStation versions. The full game will be removed from PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 Stores.
- [June 1, 2023] Online services and the server of Auto Chess PlayStation versions will be closed.
If you complete the account binding process and bind your PlayStation Network account to Dragonest account before the termination of cross-platform features (March 1, 2023):
1.You can normally log into Auto Chess mobile versions with your Dragonest account after the termination of PlayStation versions.
2.All DLCs you purchased before the termination of cross-platform features will be kept in your Dragonest account.
3.The rest of Donut balance will be transferred to your Dragonest account after the termination of PlayStation versions.
After the termination of cross-platform features, we will not support account binding and all your game data and purchased DLCs on PlayStation versions will not be saved in Dragonest account.

Auto Chess Announcement – November 29, 2022
Auto Chess Operation Team
As mentioned this news only impacts the PlayStation releases (PS4, PS5) and you’ll still be able to play the game on Android, iOS, and on PC on Steam and the Epic Games Store. Purchases of in-game currency were disabled on the day of the announcement in November but you can still grab the free game until March 1st and continue playing into late Spring.
Thanks again to LotsaNintendo for submitting the news. I’ve added the date to the Watch List calendar and we’ll have a page up on the site later.
