[UPDATED 02/03/21] I didn’t think it would last long. Geostorm was updated earlier today and removed from Steam. The iOS release is still available at this time.
Sticky Studios’ surprisingly well received Geostorm is leaving Steam but unfortunately the brief post from February 1st doesn’t specify exactly when it will disappear. Based on the 2017 disaster movie, it’s one of the few games that Sticky Studios created outside of VR and their only remaining release on Steam and iOS.
The studio was absorbed by enterprise VR house, Talespin, in February of 2020 so the delisting could be related to their change in operating status or an expired movie license from Warner Bros. Pictures. Sticky has previously released Steam VR and Oculus titles based on other WB movies including Rampage, Suicide Squad, and Tomb Raider (2018). Rampage has been delisted but the other two are still accessible via search on Oculus.com.
As for Geostorm, grab it while you can on Steam or iOS because there’s no telling how long it will last at this point. I’ll add a reminder to the Watch List calendar for the end of the month and keep an eye on it going forward. Thanks to @linoano for the tip.
