There’s no sugarcoating this news: last Friday I was fired (not furloughed) from my job. I’ve been struggling over whether to share the news here on the site but decided that I should say something sooner rather than later in case it impacts Delisted Games down the road. I won’t go into personal details but it was a job that I loved and the rug was pulled out from under me without any discussion.
Fortunately, the site is still buzzing along and has even seen an influx of visitors in spite of the global pandemic over the last few months. I suppose more people were at home with time to think about old games and wound up here to find out where they went. Sorry to break the bad news if that was the case for you.
I’m hoping this increase in free time (outside of housework and job hunting) will finally give me the space to tackle one of the site’s biggest shortcomings: Telltale Games. We’ve got lots of their titles on the site already but many more have been submitted since the 2018 closure of the studio. I feel that I can’t do one without doing them all so I’ve put it off until I could compile all the details at the same time. That time is now? Yes, I think it is!
While I’m heads-down on that, if you’d like to help support my work on the site now would be a great time! Help bring some more people to the site by sharing a link on Facebook or Twitter. Share one of your own favorite titles that has been delisted and help spread the word on all these lost games.
You can also help simply by shopping on Amazon or PlayAsia through our affiliate links. We earn a tiny percentage of anything you buy and it helps keep us living as close to a normal and steady life as possible right now. Finally, if you want to donate directly to the site, visit us on ko-fi. Any amount you choose to share is always greatly appreciated!
Thank you everyone for visiting the site, submitting games, and linking to news and server shutdowns. It is not a fun burden to bear, and it’s hard to keep pace with, but I hope I can keep adding games to the site and getting the word out before the rug is pulled out from under your next favorite game.
