Bandai Namco’s official Taiko no Tatsujin Twitter accounts announced on November 6th, 2023 that the oldest entry in the series on Nintendo Switch would be removed from sale at the end of the month.

Sales for Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum ‘n’ Fun for Nintendo Switch will be discontinued on November 30, 2023 (Thursday).
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all our customers who have purchased or played the game, and we kindly ask for your understanding in this matter. Please also consider continuing the drumming fun with Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival for Nintendo Switch.

The reason for the delisting is unclear, though Bandai Namco may simply be trying to move players over to Rhythm Festival which features more modes, online functionality, and a monthly subscription to access additional content. For the foreseeable future, Drum ‘n’ Fun’s DLC will remain on sale and the base game can still be purchased on physical media.
