As electronically printed on page one, page three, or page five of the NBA 2K23 instruction manual, 2K Games plans to discontinue online services for NBA 2K23 on December 31th, 2024 on all six platforms of PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series. The small blurb states:
Please note that NBA 2K23 online features are scheduled to be available until December 31, 2024 though we reserve the right to modify or discontinue online features without notice. Visit www.nba2k.com/status for more information.

These messages should come as no surprise since 2K Sports has been printing similar notices regarding their annual sports titles for over a decade including all the back to NBA 2K12.
These come from the United States region. 2K lists four to 11 other regions / translations on their site. A spot check of five other regions randomly selected with various platforms all lined up with the December 31st, 2024 and December 31st, 2025 dates. This author did not validate the dates printed in every PDF for NBA 2K23 and NBA 2K24.
Unfortunately for NBA 2K23, https://www.nba2k.com/gamestatus only seems to tell the status of NBA 2K24’s online servers.
