From Software announced back on December 22nd of last year that two of their older titles, Armored Core: Verdict Day and the PS3/Xbox 360 versions of Dark Souls II would lose online features on March 31st, 2024. Additionally, Verdict Day’s DLC will be removed from sale after the shutdown. From Software’s official announcements follow:
As of Sunday 31st March 2024, online services for ARMORED CORE VERDICT DAY (PS3, Xbox 360) will be terminated due to deterioration of the game servers.
The following features will become unavailable once online services have been terminated:
- World Mode
- Mercenary features
- Territory Customisation
- Ranking
- Team Menus
- Other features tied to online elements
- Trophies/Achievements linked to online elements will become unobtainable, and “Soldier Model” DLC will also become unavailable.
Please note that Story Missions will still be available to play offline.

As of Sunday 31st March 2024, online services for DARK SOULS II (PS3, Xbox 360) will be terminated due to determination of the game servers.
The following features will be some unavailable once online services have been seeded:
- Asynchronous online elements such as shadows, bloodstains and messages
- Multiplayer elements such as co-op play, invasions and dueling
Please note that offline gameplay will still be available.
- Online services will continue for the PS4, Xbox One and Windows DirectX9/11 versions of the game, so online play can still be enjoyed on the these platforms.
