Supersonic Software acquired, pair of digital releases may be delisted soon

Mobile game publisher Miniclip has announced their acquisition of the long-running PC and console studio, Supersonic Software and their mobile subsidiary Appynation. Although most of Supersonic’s noteworthy titles date back to the 90’s and weren’t released digitally, there’s a pair of releases from the 2000’s that might be lost in this transition.

Puzzle Challenge: Crosswords and More! for the PSP is still available exclusively in North America through the PlayStation Store for PlayStation 3, though I couldn’t find it on the Vita. It also got a retail release on PSP and PS2 which is still floating around out there. Their other digital release, Wrecked: Revenge Revisited, is also still available to download as of this writing on PlayStation 3 (AU, EU) and Xbox 360 (AU, EU, JP, NA). For those wondering, Trophies/Achievements in Wrecked can be had in offline or online modes so there’s no immediate worry on that front.

Hopefully both titles remain on sale but since their digital releases came from separate publishers, and given Supersonic’s focus on mobile development, it seems like a fair bet that one or both will drop off in the coming months.
